Yet another roaring thespian success took place at Corfe Castle Village Hall, November 22nd to 24th This production was a modern, yet traditional, musical pantomime that was enjoyed immensly by both young and old alike. Projected as an event with something for everyone to "get their teeth into" - it disappointed no-one! This pantomime was full to the brim with fun, frolics and features - a good fairy, a bad witch, a rampaging giant, Robin Hood, Maid Marian, and many other favourite nursery rhyme characters! This New Forest based "lost classic" was discovered languishing in a dusty attic but was adapted for Purbeck and lovingly restored to its former glory by Peter Smith and other Double Act members.......and unlike many a modern production, everyone in Pantomime Pie lived happily ever after, except the evil witch of course........boooohhhhh - behind you!!! - hurrah!!!!!...... Check the photo gallery links below........ |
| The ingredients were originally gathered and mixed together by Eleanor Kemp, |
|
| ...reconstituted with local produce by Peter Smith, | |
| ....basted, mixed and stirred by Christine Kemp and Roger Free, | |
| .....liberally sprinkled with well-known music and songs by Graham Rogers, | |
| ......and then finally baked to perfection under the direction of Nikki Haswell!!!! |
A "1066' Nikki". |
| Who could
possibly have resisted the temptations of such tantalising confection?
If you only savoured one pantomime in 2001 - it should have been
Panomime Pie!!!!!
